Historically themed along the lines of a big game hunter’s camp encompassing the bygone era of the early 1900’s, the camp allows indulgence in pure luxury, combined with the sounds and smells of the African bush.
Six magnificent canvas tents complete with teak floorboards, dreamy mosquito nets, slipper baths, outdoor showers and a superb view of the seasonal river are linked to the main lodge area by raised timber walkways amongst ancient Jackalberry trees. All rooms are interconnected by intercom service.

The lodge is situated within the Kruger National Park which boasts one of the most diverse game viewing experiences in South Africa and is home to an estimated 1500 lion, 12 000 elephant, 2500 buffalo, 1000 leopard and 5000 rhino (black and white).
Lions are scattered throughout the park, most commonly found in the grasslands, where the favourite prey of Zebra and Wildebeest are found. “The Hamiltons Pride” are frequent visitors to the Ngwenyeni Dam and the immediate area around the lodge.
Leopards are shy animals that hunt at night. The Lodge is fortunately in a high leopard density area and sightings are frequent. Spotting the tawny-yellow body with black rosette spots, as it blends in perfectly into its surrounds is a definite highlight of any nocturnal safari.

The camp is located within the Imbali concession area of the Kruger National Park. This private 10 000 hectare wilderness area is situated 35 km due South East of Orpen Gate in the central Kruger region.
